TRINKET ROVER PROJECT

PROJECT
My problem was to take the 3D printed parts given and make a workable rover that will be powered by batteries and move via sonar. The inspiration for this project comes from space exploration. There are articles stating that NASA uses rovers to explore different planets in search of inhabitants and to find a surface fit for human terraforming. Below are pictures taken at every step of the project. This project was done with the aid of Adafruit. To complete the project, soldering, programming, and schematic reading was needed. Two setbacks happened during this process. The 1st was that the chip that needed programming kept burning out when connected to PC. The issue was resolved by ordering a more powerful chip. This lead to the next problem. The schematics for formatting the chip on the motherboard was for the smaller chip. By finding a schematic for both chips, making adjustments according to those schematics, and soldering based on those adjustments, this issue was resolved. The two issues resolved, I ws able to program the motion sonar on the front to connect to the Servos motors on the side of the rover via a program named Adruino.
